I think the only reason we have reasonable competition on the internet is because there was a set of laws that got passed in in the 90s mostly during the Clinton administration. Things like section 230 and effectively allowing more or less permissionless innovation to happen on the web. If you can get the right framework in place especially at the federal level then it can kind of come over the top on any of these tikki-tok state stuff, he says.
