The Future of Digital Consciousness

We're not even able to properly map the human brain, so we haven't reverse engineered the human brain yet. It's really hard to decide what to upload, like a more version of that person to upload. Some people believe it will happen is that you'll be able to scan the brain and take everything off it. But only if the brain is preserved in a certain way. So there is work being done to preserve brains, not to reanimate them,. Just to preserve them so the memories and everything is intact in them. And then in the future, possibly we could take that. People think the continuity of consciousness is key to defining sort of living forever or living for longer.
