The average bar markets depends on what period toy look at, though can be anywhere from about four to five years that you have an average loss of 30%. As a matter of fact, a well diversified portfolio is doingway better than the s an p 500 this year. Small cap value is down, i don't know, 11% or ten%, versus the s anp 500,. It's down 19%. And yet it doesn't mean you have to give up the right to a decent return.
