The Importance of Despising God

There's a good parallel here between what translated as despised and if you look down to verse 20 at the word that ESV translates as rejected. They said, no, thanks God, we don't want to have anything to do with you. So they despise to statutes, this covenant, all the warnings. This despising or rejection, I said for God, there's not a, oh, I'm just neutral about your statutes and covenants. You're either in them or you're rejecting them; you're either clinging to them or despising them. Now those are the options.
