Did Antony Want Cleopatra?

The best sources for this seem to be Plutarch and Cassius Dyer, who were hundreds of years after the event. Antony certainly had considered sending Cleopatra home. You got outmaneuvered there. We get very little from Antony's side of the story. Still, it's not completely hopeless. There are some quotations from Antony’s writings, which are useful. And we have a lot of coin evidence near the place where the battle took place.
