The Role of the Pelvic and Hips in Pronation

The pelvis can tilt forward and anterior tilt, which will help create hip flexion or it can posteriorly tilt with hip extension. In terms of running or walking, this is the moment that we are shifting our weight over primarily to one leg to allow the other one to swing forward so we can take the next step. We might find if somebody or just simply stand and assess what it's like to sway their hips to the left and to the right, that there's going to be a little difference.
