Second life was one of the first examples where you tried to construct a three d space that was free of a game designer's narrative. It is fascinating to build from your first example of colossal cave adventure through to environments like the whole earth electronic links, or the well,. And then you have people living in eh well. I think it is an important way station on the road to the medaverse. The metaverse is all about using virtual worlds for a vast array of ordinary human activities and that was beginning to happen already in second life back in two thousand and seven.
