The Defence's Arguments in the Death of David
Sharon denied being the aggressive party in their relationship. She argued that it was actually David he started all the arguments. The defence played heavily on his heavy drinking, as this played a key role in his death. Sharon said she'd applied for tax credits to make him stop drinking. He then had waved a knife at her, and as she took the knife from him, he drunkenly walked into it. Only 8cm of the 21cm total blade had entered David. If it had been murder caused by an intentional thrust forward, more of the blade would have entered his body.
