Companies have a hard time identifying where their supply chains are tainted by forced labor. A ground breaking port in early 20 20 found that more than 80 thousand weagers were moved out of shinjong to work in other parts of china between 20 17 and 20 19. The australian researchers discovered weagers connected to these programmes, like the victims of forced labor, were working in factories that touched at the supply chains of at least 82 well known corporations.
