Nietzsche on the Soul Hypothesis

The self, one's identity as an atom, whereas Nietzsche doesn't think that that's what we are at all. Again, we are these rank ordered bundles of drives and that are not something stable and static and self identical. What is actually contained within our self identity, regardless of how we conceptualize about it, includes things that are mutually exclusive. And that oftentimes what the self consists of and what we are shifts and changes, it becomes rather than simply is.
