Is the Baxinrus Discredited?

Pakistani talivan have been trying to discredit formal medicine for a number of years already. The disclosure of the information that the baxinrus had happened, all of a sudden lent a lot of credibility to many of these rumors. So the taliban essentially doubled down on their anti vaccination messages. This made monica and her co author, andrea stegman, wonder whether the disclosure of information that discredits bacined affects negatively vaccination rates in pakistan.
