Interacting With Spirits in Field Investigations

In a field investigation situation, I wouldn't have a problem addressing the ghost and seeing if it responds. When it comes to initiating contact with spirits that haven't manifested, the matter isn't on as firm a ground. On the one hand, it's hard to find good arguments against initiating contact as long as you're using critical thinking. The New Testament attitude isn't avoiding contact, but testing the spirits.
