Is It Enough for Me?
i read this book five years ago, and i took a whole bunch of notes. It had to do with some research o music students practising. And it's so prosaic. But one of the points he makes is that we tend to go for things that are more comfortable. We tend to practise stuff we're already good at, and become hacks by doing the same thing over and over. He did not emphasize hackiness. He emphasized the positive side of embracing our own mistakes.
