The Politics of the Sick and the Death
Older people form social basis for the same status quo system that's killing them. The elderly gained a more or social citizenship, a more secure claim on social benefits than the general population enjoys. We worship youth, we stigmatize and u not ostracize, the elderly in many ways. That surprisingly, cashes out most significantly for the poor old. And it's only sustained public support for long-term care which carries through to poverty? As opposed to medicade, which is a universal programme.
