In 19 57, the soviets take the world by surprise by launching sputnick, the first vehicle that enters outer space. And then this event takes place that again changes world politics and again demonstrates the global class character of politics. The cuban revolution shows that in spite of the soviet's desire for a non aggressive foreign policy, to the extent that people are fighting for freedom, whether it's in cuba or the dominican republic or the congo, or viet nam or corea,. Soviet union becomes, in a way, a natural ally because of the class character of their revolutions - which will be a defining part of the next era.
