CHAPTER

The Search for Life Is a Big Place

There are a lot of planets that are potentially habitable, in terms of the water being out there. Unfortunately, the universe is a very big place. The distances between stars are unfathomably enormous. Even if we were to detect a habitable world withi say, a hundred light years away, it would take an incredible amount of energy and technological sophistication for us to actually even send a tiny, little spacecraft.
