Davy Crockett had a stroke that left him unable to speak or think. His wife, who was deaf and in a wheel chair, took her own life last month. He says the experience has made him more closely connected with people he once didn't know. "It is as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest" - Crockett on his suicide attempt.

Her own status was enhanced through her association with high-status people. Then she started writing and publishing her work. This attracted people to her.
- A brand needs coherence. Have a narrative and tell it repeatedly.
