How Did You Get the Word Out About Gumroad?
I was trying to learn photorealistic icon design on the side, and I felt like I got pretty okay at it. And so I tried selling one of them to my tiny audience on dribble at the time and Twitter. It was still pretty painful and not intuitive at all how to go about selling this digital file to my audience. That's sort of sometimes an interesting problem to go out and solve. So I decided that I'd spend a weekend building a prototype. And I did, and I launched it Monday morning and there was a bunch of pre-positive feedback.
