The book is about the way that different fields get used as a mirror. A lot of researchers asked what does that tell us about how we understand ourselves. Intelligence is a good example so part of what we talk about in the last week's lecture in class actually is attempts to go about establishing various biases by just collecting numbers, he says. We need to be reflexive of it when we ourselves are practicing these sorts of logical leaps and also we need to be critical when people are making an argument at us.
