The market is full of paradoxes and I think this one is the Keystone Paradox, which is only by realizing how not great you are. Most people, as a function of this overconfidence, aren't super up to speed on their trading records. So it's only when you own those averages and those probabilities that you can do the hard work that you need to be truly great.
