Tragic Executions in American History

This chapter explores various historical accounts of tragic and brutal executions in America, including the case of Hannah Ockiwish, the execution of juveniles during the Jim Crow era, burning of escaped slaves, first execution for homosexual offense, death by firing squad for espionage, and the execution of Joel's Quarry by pressing for refusing to speak against a neighbor accused of witchcraft.
