Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, the Lord is peace. To this day it still stands at Ophra, which belongs to the Abiyyasites. The men of the town said to Joash, Bring out your son that he may die. But Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord. Whoever contends for Baal shall be put to death by morning.
