The Different Types of Ants

There's a lot of size and shape differences which are generally called polymorphisms. In Marauder ants, the so-called major workers tend to have big hairy square heads that can be over 10 times as large as the petite oval ones. Some 13% or so of ant species have this kind of huge variation in worker size,. There are significantly bigger, like multiple times bigger ants and smaller ants of the same species.
