What Do You Think of Karen Moth on Napster?
This is track six to cure a weakling child. It's the main reason I think effects must have taken some of Stockhausen's advice, or at least that he must have actually listened to Gesongdur Yunglinga. In this one, Richard D. James chops up samples of himself, pitched up to sound like a little kid. The text here is just naming off body parts. Combined with melodic cheerfulness and frantic noisy percussion, the effect is both playful and unsettling. And then what happens? A drum solo.
