The Narrative Voice
When did you know you had the narrative voice I mean was it after you rewrote that second piece. Dickens and all of British literature contemporary to Hillary Mantell who wrote the yeah wolf false series she was a huge huge influence on my writing. But when you're reading just for your own pleasure are you reading for character first or story? It's hard to pin down what it is but I think quite a few people have the sort of awareness of what I'm talking aboutYeah, I'm glad you do. Oh no I can. What I'm going to explain is you just know it when you say it. That's really the only way to explain it.
