Is Your PhD Worthless?

In the school where i worked, there was a divide between walter trained teachers and those who had been hired on their merits. There was a kind of anti intellectual bent to it, especially if the teachers, like me, had a phd. And no walderof training. The fear of leaving wasn't primarily about not being able to find another job or other normal professional anxiety. I think that that's probably an essential part of sustaining this institution, is bringing o teachers and their children together into the organization.
