In the old testament in the hebrew, this type of language was used to meant, i feel far from you god. David's hope was found not in his circumstances changing, but in the reality that he had a god that he knew was supreme over all circumstances and that there was hope for change. Even if you cannot get to god, god can get to you. This is the power of an infinite god. If we put all our strength together, and all the people on planet earth, and all these super macio people that can binch press a thousand pounds, they wouldn't be able to beat God. We would only have one percent of the power of god.
