The Mystery of the Sun and Moon During an Eclipse

The apparent relative diameter of the sun and the moon as observed from the earth. Or did things just have to be that way? And is it a coincidence that the moon perfectly blocks out the sun during an eclipse? Yes, that's what they're saying - spooky spooky coincidence. But then again, whenever astronomers don't know how something formed at astrophysicists, they always go, maybe it was a collision.
