Dostoevsky's Reactionary Trope
The trope that dostoevsky predicted the horrors of socialism is over used. He would be horrified by the soviet union, but he was also a royalist and supported the czar. Dostoevky's views on religion are completely opposite to those of liberals who believe in abolishing it. The same thing happened in america when we were very influenced by these rationalists creating a totally rational society.
