The way we recall information is by activating the systems that initially processed those experiences. We cannot hope to make edits if it's not right here right now. The brain can generalize the metaphor I use with clients. You can get kind of what a puzzle is aiming at if you have like the kind of the half of the majority of those pieces, but trauma stores these dense pieces somewhere in our brains.
