Split Brain Surgery
An even stranger and more extreme version of this came out of some split brain experiments that were carried out, i think, back in the sixties and seventies. In that case, they were able to determine, by looking at the f mri signals ahead of time, not only when a subject would make the decision, but whether they decided to add or subtract. This was up to four seconds before the subject felt they made the decision. Talk about intuitions being violated.
