The Place of Remembrance in Great Britain

Bunhill Fields was a burial ground as far back as 1,000 years ago. From the 1660s on it became the place for non-conformists to be buried. These were church leaders who would not conform to the Church of England. John Owen, the Great Puritan Theologian is buried there. Susanna Wesley, the mother of John and Charles Wesley is there. And so is the poet William Blake. His remains lie but a few feet from those of Pilgrim's Progress authorJohn Bunyan.
