The Importance of a Skin Assessment

Skin assessment, in my opinion, is the best vital sign. If you are on an ambulance crew and the medics release the patient back to you for BLS transport to the ER, don't be offended. We're always looking for a reason to treat patients. So doing assessment, take vitals, get a good history. And if you're still unsure, then absolutely keep the medics coming.
