Adam Smith gave lectures on legal philosophy in the 1760s. He was teaching jurisprudence, and it was something that he had been teaching at the University of Glasgow. About a week before he died, he asked colleagues to burn his manuscripts. We can only guess what was in them; they were probably lecture notes from two different years.
