The Utilitarianism Principle, I Think It's a Mistake
John Stuart Mill says only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community against his will is to prevent harm to others. In that case, my example is stealing a loaf of bread. The harm would be in taking from someone else their property. And so in that sense, it would break that moral foundation, which Mill would argue should be the guiding principle in society to produce the greatest good.
