Is There a Mind of Its Own in Violence?

Renee Gerard says that human beings formed religion in order to sort of alleviate this violence. They have religion will give you like prohibitions or laws, that will help sort of curb some violence. And there's also rituals and this is where the scapegoat ritual comes in. And then there's also myth mythology or, or the stories of origins. So they'll tell these stories so that they don't realize that there are victims in society. The myths kind of keep this mechanism moving that what Dejurra calls the scapegoat mechanism because they hide it.
