The s m p and the greens are in government, to what extent will they take first preference votes that would otherwise go to the s m p? That's an uncertainty. Its just how well they're partners. But does the political fragmentation of the unionist movement mean that the coor ation on the union side isn't as great as not? If that is right, probably some s m p gains.
