The Dark Ship-to-Ship Transfer
Dark ship-to-ship transfer is when at least one of the ships involved, ten of their transponders are turned off. This means that it will just basically disappear from the radar. For example, a ship may be coming out of Turkey and then maybe a ten of its ISSC and then we couldn't know where it is going. And during the dark period, it goes to Russia, load some barrels and do a ship-To-Ship transfer to another vessel and then pretend it's a Turkish barrel. So that's how some traders can conceal cargo origin. Also why we are observing after Russian invasion of Ukraine.
