Sufism is inherently antonomian but not necessarily a rejection of everything. It's acceptance or appropriation of knowledge and norms by through a Sufistic attitude. In the 10th century we have three at least three cadives, one in Spain, one in Egypt, one in Baghdad. So there's a sense that the idealized Ummah or Muslims or Islam is divided, fragmented,. There is increasing attitude or pursuit to go beyond the confines imposed by the very political order as well as the epistemological order I would say.
