The local district attorney, gocheramires, said that he would dismiss the case against herera stating the issues surrounding this matter are clearly contentious. This happened in a world where, at least in theory, roe is good law and abortion rights exist. These conservative states are passing laws. They're ready to punish people who choose to exercise bodily autonomy. Which means that criminalization of people, primarily women, is going to explode. It really is. And it will probably go further than self adduced abortions as well.
