The Rise and Fall of D&D Beyond

In 2012, after beta testing the feature, Wizards announced that it would be ending the effort. In 2014, Wizards released the fifth edition of D&D, which changed the rules of combat and lowered the barriers to entry. By the time Cox became president of Wizards, the fifth edition was on its way to becoming the most popular version of D&P in its history.
