A Suspect Call Was Made From a Pay Phone
Radio news reporter Pat stanley was listening to his police sganner for possible stories. He overheard officer slate saying that a suspicious call had been made from a pay phone somewhere in nappa and that the caller hadn't hung up properly. Pat decided to drive around town looking for the phone in question. Near a car wash on the corner of main street, 27 miles from the crime scen at lake berriassa, he spotted a phone booth. Inside the pay phones receiver was dangling down. The operator would keep the line open as she attempted to find out where the call had originated from.
