The Case of Michael Craig McGee

Kearney met Michael Craig McGee in June of 1976 while hitchhiking from Adondo Beach to Torrance, California. Kearney suggested they go camping together at his favorite spot near Lake Elsonor but McGee declined and said he would ask him the following week. On June 11, 1976, Kearney appeared at McGee's home to take him on the camping trip. Hearing Kearney's voice, McGee slipped out of the back door and ran after the older man as he began to leave. He was never seen again. Less than a month later, on March 21st, Kearney picked up 13-year-old Oliver Peter Moliter and allegedly convinced the boy to play doctor.
