Is It Okeefe's Flower?
Georgia o'keefe's work has been seen as an overt metaphor for female ganitalia. Some have argued that she painted most specifically the reproductive elements of the flower itself, the pistols and stamens. But does that mean it's wrong to read her florels in this way just because the artist herself didn't like it? Is that ok? We'll get into that when we come back from this short break.
