Plasebo - Is There a Plastibo Effect?
There's no argument made for any consistent mechanism of itits and that there probably shouldn't be, because the placebo effect is not one thing. There are all sorts of effects that make up this apparent improvement that you see in the placibo arms of clinical trials. For subjective n points, which is is cases where the opinion of the patient or the conition can influence what is recorded in the study, we can't distinguish that effect from just biased reporting. We can't tell the difference between, is there an effect, or is there a report of an effect? And we can't distinctions between those two situations right now.
