The International Response to the Situation of Political Prisoners in Spain
Some of the political prisoners were not, they just weren't seen as redeemable and therefore they were denied work. So their experience in prison really hard because they were just getting nothing and they relied totally on outside support. If they didn't have that, then they would really, really struggle to survive. The end goal was to reform the prisoner, but to do so politically.
