Tolkien's Middle Earth

Sandra Richter: I think if Tolkien didn't recognize this, would not have recognized this as a Roman Catholic emphasis. Jennifer McNutt in her response to your second lecture listed various Catholic theologians who would have had a similar construct of the priesthood of believers. So it really enriches the book to have Sandra Richter and Jennifer McNutt and Bill Struthers contributing to it. It was nice to find faculty members that wanted to engage with them from Tolkien because a lot of people love Tolkien.
