The Relationship of God and His People
The whole of the Bible is moving towards the union of God and his people, as described as a marriage. Look at what it says in Revelation 19: Hallelujah. For the Lord God Almighty reigns, let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory. Once you'd not receive mercy, the neighbor received mercy. This is a relational God drawing people in a passionate relationship with him. It teaches us to say no to ungodliness and worldly passions.
