We started off with a single slit, which was just for defraction and see how water defracts from the slit. Then we had two slits, like the double slit, the classic slit experiment. And we basically did this with water waves. Because interference happens in any type of wave, even though it's nothing really to do with quanti mechanics, we still use like, the properties of a wave function to estimate interference patterns.
