The Plural S Suffixes in Latin and English
In Latin, there were different inflectional endings for singular nouns and plural nouns. English lost those distinctions in early middle English so it didn't really make sense to discuss grammatical gender in his grammar book. The suffixes used in Latin were not just based on grammatical gender, they were also based on other factors.
